Well It’s that time of year. The 2019 Australian Cider Awards.
Cider Australia has announced the winners of its 2019 Australian Cider Awards at a gala dinner in Melbourne this evening. Barossa Cider Co – Squashed Apple Cider from South Australia won ‘Best in Show’, ‘Best New World Cider’ and ‘Best Australian Cider’ with a score of 97 in the New World Medium Sweet Cider class.
Entries open the 2019 Australian Cider Awards. The Competition will give producers the opportunity to benchmark their products against the best local and imported ciders available for sale in Australia. As the local cider industry ramps up its focus on quality and provenance. The winners will be announce at the awards dinner, held in Melbourne on the 8th of November.
Aussie Cider makers are starting to enter international cider competitions. And you know what, they are winning. Today Willie Smith’s announced they won the best Traditional English Cider class at the Spanish Cider Awards with the Somerset Redstreak.
