It’s been a pretty tough year Australian Agriculture. Most of the state’s are suffering through the worst drought since records began. But tonight there the rain is falling the ciders are cold and there are smiles on faces. The industry is growing in quality and depth and the 2018 Australian Cider Awards celebrate that.
Breakwells Seedling is a pretty rare apple discovered in Monmouth, a little town on the Welsh border, a little over a century ago. Dunkerton’s orchards just so happen to have a few of these trees and used them to make the Dunkertons Breakwells Seedling Cider.
Small Acres have probably won more awards than anybody else on the Australian Cider scene. The 2013 version of this took out the Best Perry at the 2016 Cider Awards. So, with this year’s awards right around the corner is the Small Acres 2016 Perry a hot tip to take out the gong again?
