Luxembourg’s Ramborn Cider has been making cider from locally-sourced apples since 2014. Over those years 1 blend has remained the same. This is the story of how the CM blend has changed over the years and became the Ramborn Original Medium Dry Cider. I’m going to look at how 4 areas of the cider have changed over the 6 years: Branding, Colour, Smell, and Taste. So, let’s dive in.
An Apple and Pear Blend from the centre of the European Union, grown in meadow orchards. You know it’s a Ramborn Cider. This is a limited release cider from the 2017 Vintage Apple and Pear Blend.
A few years ago, I got twitter message from this guy in Luxembourg “Hey do you want to try our Ramborn Cider? We had a call to arrange the shipment, “You’re in Austria, right? I’ll post you a few samples”. At which point I had to point out it was Australia, not Austria. Anyway after some back and forth I got the samples. Last year I got a few bottles of Ramborn’s different ciders. I thought the CM Blend was so good, I named it my best International cider for 2016. Then I was cleaning out the fridge and there was a bottle of Ramborn Somerset Blend.
